Top Ten University
Cardiff University has reached the top ten most popular UK universities with a huge increase in demand for undergraduate places.
Latest figures, released from UCAS for applications received by 30 June confirm Cardiff University’s status as a university of first choice among well-qualified applicants. The figures show that the University has received 35,375 applications for places in the autumn - a rise of 4,595 (or 15%) on last year.

This is well above the national average increase of 8.2% and places Cardiff University in the top ten most popular UK universities for the first time.Dave Roylance, Head of Undergraduate Recruitment at the University said: "This represents further recognition of the University's achievements in teaching and research and the increasing attractiveness of Cardif as a city in which to live and study.
Cardiff is now in the top 10 most popular universities in the UK - the first time a Welsh university has achieved this."
